Touchdown! Greaser!
I saw topless, and couldn't think straight.
You're forgiven then for having those thoughts. Kinda my fault misleading you.

Yeah they were produced in '57-58-59 year models.
Nissan 300ZX, if you're referring to my post.Ah a GM man. I like. What's that first one?
Wasn't that the Ford Skyliner?
They're fantastic cars. Here's mine, set up with 225 section width tires on Enkei RPF1s, coilover suspension. More fun than the Miatas I've owned. Pic is taken on the ramp at Camarillo...autocross put on by the Corvair Club on the huge extended threshold of the runway.

Try and keep up Salty. No airplane hijacking.
What? He posted the best picture yet.
I went for the monoplane because the biplane didn't seem to fit the "topless" descriptionI like this one better:
You too 'Dog, keep up man!
Never was much of a car guy. Always loved airplanes.
No excuse for coloring outside the lines you wild man you.
Why am I searching for Smokey and the Bandit videos???Gotcha didn't I? Thought this was gonna be about something else. Well it's not. So there.
What's your favorite topless car, or even truck for that matter.
I've had many but I wish I had my '60 Chev Impala 348 V8 back, like this one. Bought it from a fellow GI back in 1968 that bought a new Impala convert. He was getting out and said ya outa buy my Chevy. I had just enlisted and said I ain't got no moneyyyy man. He said all I want is what I paid for new tires. It was $60 or $80 so I bought me a Chevy, put a new top from JC Whiney on it myself, had a blast for 2 years and sold it to a guy for $200.

But probably my favorite was my Honda S2000. This thing would scoot. Size same as a Miata but 100 more HP.

Have had many others. Worse were the 3-4 British sports cars I had especially having to deal with the Lucas electrical system.
So what's yours?
I fully intend to build up a FFR Cobra Replica at some point. I can't decide on what engine I want to run in it, though. Aluminum block no matter what, and I'd love to just put a stroked 351w in it, but it's so hard not to go full-on 427.
LMAO. I've owned two MGA's. Thank god I wasn't all into 'keep it original.' I had a few 'got a switch down at the hardware store and run a little wiring.' For a while I just had bare wires hanging down that I 'finger pigtailed' for ignition and lights.

The MR2s always looked like a lot of fun. I've never driven one, but just the ability to get a mid-engined car at an affordable price got a big thumbs up to Toyota from me, and making it a convertible at that.
Having never owned a mid or rear engined car, that's still on the bucket list for me. Problem is getting one that's also a good performer.
I must be in the minority, but I actually liked the TR-7 and almost bought one. I got to drive a TR-8 once. Complete blast to drive.
From the above, love the '60 Impala 348 - was it a TurboGlide?
Love the Fiat 124 - best-looking roadster (in remotely modern era).
Here's mine. It was my daily driver when I lived in SoCal, and I let it slide after life interfered.
Getting it better day by day.

68 vette wins every time!Toss-up:
The maintenance thing on the Fiats is a bad rap. I have had two of them. The first one for about 3 years. On that one I replaced the radiator and had the muffler welded. I have had this one for five years and did the radiator on it a few years ago (hey it is a 36 year old car), a starter and an alternator (wasn't bad, just wanted a bigger one). I also redid the rubber in the suspension a few years ago (handles better now) and I redid the interior last year. All I recall it was an automatic. I always liked the looks of a Fiat 124 but they do have maintenance problems although to the extent of the British sports cars. Also had a Miata, and the Honda S2000 mentioned, and they were virtually maintenance free other than wear and tear stuff. Both great cars.
