Frank and I were talking about watching some football in N. Myrtle Beach on a Sunday in October. There are a couple of good sports bar options pretty close to KCRE, an easy, short uber ride from the airport. The initial tentative date we threw out there was 10/22.

So, whady'all think?

SUNSET OCTOBER 22, 2017....6:29PM for those of us who don't do the single engine night thing...Nothing says you have to stay till the end, right? But yea, the drinking thing is a bit of a trade-off... IMHO...
 
there is a chance I'm gonna grab a hotel room. this way I can do a shot of jack for every touchdown the giants score. oh wait, guess I'll be sober then.

but seriously, hotels are starting to be dirt cheap on the beach..........weather permitting, I can be up early enough and be back to work on monday earlier than most of the slackers I work with.
 
It'd be an over nighter for me, but I'm pretty much out of Vacation time for the year. So unless it was a Sat to Sun thing, I'll have to pass on this one... :(

It will be an over niter as well for me and the wifee... Unless something drastic changes, should be coming in the evening on 10/21(weather permitting) leaving 10/22 evening....

Now we're talking! Who says a POA football beach weekend has to be NFL? Fly in Saturday morning, watch games in the afternoon, group dinner somewhere, and then come back and toss down a few more watching the late game. Sleep, then Sunday dealers choice. Those who need to bug out can fly home, those who want to stay for the NFL can.

Of course I still won't have my medical by then, so I may be talking out of my donkey.

That's not a bad idea.. unfortunately I cant even do it if I wanted, now that my other half is committed...

I'm gonna poke around for things going on Saturday night in case anyone wants to meet up, see some live music or something to that effect. suggestions welcome (house of blues, etc...) did somebody mention house of blues? cause that's a great idea! not even sure what I'm doing yet, but I'd like to head down there on sat, I think a coupl'a other people mentioned that as well.
