Warmth is relative. The air can be warmer and hold more moisture but still not be above freezing. Icing in clouds is more likely at -2C than at -20C. That said, one storm is irrelevant in the discussion of global warming.

Heat must be applied as the first step in getting water vapor into the atmosphere. Whether it precipitates out as liquid or solid in the second step can be independent of the first step.
 
The climate has been warming and cooling for thousands of years while all the sky is falling theories are based on a little over a hundred years of measured data. Now there's some real scientific thinking for you.:rolleyes:
