Some are fruits...The meathead politicians. They all seem to be vegetables though.

THe thread is open now after a warning and deleted post, but will be closed again if it falls into the Spin Zone.
How can meat be political?
I daresay many vegetarians have somewhat fond memories of certain meat dishes.
So it’s not unusual that they might wish to recapture at least some of the flavor/texture of meat in things they prepare and consume. I know I do.
It’s all SixPeeCee’s fault. He started it!What Spin Zone?
Seriously. Someone must have been extra cranky. LOL.

Why would that crack anyone up?
probably from not eating meat.Seriously. Someone must have been extra cranky. LOL.
I have no issues with vegetarians - eat what you want. That said, my food still poops on your food
Your food dies you starve.Yes, but if your food all dies I still eat. My food dies you starve.
My food dies we all starve.Your food dies you starve.

Funny! However, I suspect a lot of this audience won't get the punchline:Ah, the never ending quest to make beef taste like and have the consistency of tofu. The person that manages it will be rich beyond their wildest.... oh wait.....
My food dies we all starve.
That was me. I was in favor of meat, suggested lefties suffered due to lack of.denverpilotin favor post: 2470395 said:What Spin Zone?

I just had a nice burger. Last meal, more or less. This is why we can't have nice things.
Still here?
Should drop off momentarily - responding to the note now; that should clinch it, I think.Dave Themomentarilyst: 2470553 said:Still here?
That almost has the same alliteration as the Jimmy Buffet song...I'm having a homemade veggie slider for lunch. TVP, celery, onion, garlic, tomatoes, all bound together with a bit of egg and four. Browned on my cast iron griddle and served with a bit of ketchup on a homemade sourdough bun. Yum yum.
Almost outdid it. This week I had home made tempe sautéed in barbecue sauce on a sourdough bran bun. Boy was that good. The real trick was making the tempe, it's fungally fermented. That almost has the same alliteration as the Jimmy Buffet song...
Thread drift: Enough with the plant based meat, time for meat based plant.
Ya know that's going to end wellThread drift: Enough with the plant based meat, time for meat based plant.

I don't know how Burger King survives around here. The couple of stores that I drive by frequently almost never seem to have any significant number of people there. The parking lots have few cars in them.

Hm, BK={Burger King, Bendix King}. Would that be correlation or causation? The BKs hereabouts are all filthy dirty, and a number have closed.
I think Burger King is doing far, far better than Bendix King. The last time I saw a business fail so spectacularly was when Kodak invented the digital camera and subsequently went bankrupt.Hm, BK={Burger King, Bendix King}. Would that be correlation or causation?

I’m pretty sure the one near my office is doing a pretty good marijuana business out the back door. You see, even though it’s “legal” here, the untaxed stuff is still cheaper than the taxed stuff. And people in that parking lot can just say they bought it from the large legal pot shop behind the BK. Right next to the usual payday loan place and the dollar store and liquor store, like all of our “pot strip malls”.
They all have all of those features and at least one fast food place for the munchies.
