KU vs MU. They had to get a NCAA waiver because both teams already have 2 exhibition games scheduled. This was put together as a charity fundraiser for hurricane relief charities, so NCAA approved it as a charity event or something.

It's a "big deal" here. These two teams had a > 100yr rivalry until MU switched from Big 12 to SEC, they haven't played since. It's pretty interesting in the depth of actual hatred, not just dislike - Google "Bleeding Kansas" and you'll see how some of that developed. A long-time MU head coach made it clear that he wouldn't spend a dime inside the state of KS, so he always made sure the team stated in a hotel on the MO side of state line on the night before a game.

It's been about 5 years since they've played.

Would have liked this stretch into perpetuity. This Jayhawk is still bitter. We could have played Wichita St and it would have sold out just as quickly.

This whole thing stinks of an AD who is on the outs trying to save his job.

I think Self had something to do with it. But he still referred to them as "someone from the other side of state line" when somebody there leaked the event and tried to spin it as a possible revival of the series. I doubt he'll agree to this again.

Yeah, WSU would have sold out, but I think ticket prices would have been lower. This game will be streamed on a $40 pay per view, too.
 
Won't watch a single game until they pull their heads out. Maybe not then either. Overpaid scum. They're so stupid they don't even know what they're whining about. Like they seriously have anything to complain about.....

Yup. 50+ years watching the Pack. Haven't watched a game last 5-6 weeks.
 
World Series is on TV. Is the nfl playing this evening? WS is a great series this year. The Dodgers and Astros seem well matched. Even if I'm not a fan of either team it's fun watching.

These new touchdown celebrations are stupid. I could maybe understand if they were funny or entertaining but it's like watching 12 year olds. A bunch of adults looking like fools.

My boys' going to be #3 or #4, so we're sitting pretty if we win out. Unfortunately, we're going to have to replay a team we already beat (TCU or OSU) in the Big XII Championship game since our conference already plays a round-robin schedule.
 
Bama played my Dawgs this weekend so we thought we would get out and do some shopping over in Tuscaloosa (yeah @mscard88 I crossed state lines ugh). Dang these people are ate up over here, I mean a store called Bama Fever??? Get over people! hahah The funny thing was I was checking out from Academy sports and the chick ringing me up was watching the game on her phone and was getting verbally upset because they were not converting enough 3rd downs. She sat there talking about it with a coworker instead of ringing me up. I was thinking, woman they are 6-0 and win every year and you want to give up on them that quick when State is giving them fits...hahaha BAMA FEVER!!

Jealously not very flattering Sim. Yeah they take it serious, too serious. But that's what it takes to be there every year if ya wanna be the best of the best. MSU played a very good game, had us on the ropes most of the game. But the 4th was the difference. You better just hope you can keep your coach.

That's not the only store either. There's a few in the BHM area and more statewide. Y'all don't have stores cause all ya got is those ****ing cowbells! :rofl::rofl::rofl:

It was a good game no doubt and I even told my wife state will blow it. They always do! And I was thinking mullens should go. He hasn't produced much in his tenure. I wouldn't doubt if SEC called up state and offered a bonus for them to lose since bama winning brings more coin. Yeah yeah and the earth is flat too..haha

I won my fantasy league this week, so I’m a whopping 4-7 now on the season after a horrible draft and tons of injuries wiping out the mediocre team I had. Haha. I’m trading and scraping bottom every week to find any players who’ll make points. Any points.

Too many people in our office league this year. Once the draft was over with the entire season was set. No players worth a crap to pick up anywhere after opening day.
 
P.S. But I do wish I’d thought of the team name one of our guys came up with..

“My Ball Zach Ertz”. LOL.
