Sweet A/C

NOT what I expected.
I thought this thread was about climate control or advisory circulars ...

IF, I was a billionaire, THIS would be my personal aircraft:

This one is for sale too:

He who hesitates ?? looses
Yes, although in that particular case, the asking price was at least $50-100k more than I would have been comfortable with.

BTW, that one I linked is not the one I was referring to in the maintenance thread. I may lose out on that one as well (haven't been able to get the wife to agree yet).

Nice one. What's the difference in handling between the Warner F-24 and the F-24 with the Ranger engine?

My CAF unit just got an UC-61 (F-24 in Coast Guard livery) with the Ranger engine. I'm trying to decide if I want to get checked out in it or the Stinson L-5.

You can see half the picture with the Ranger, and nothing with the warner. :)

Some times it is worth just buying it, and taking the beating later.

So visibility is better with the Ranger?

I would have thought it would be the other way around since the nose is longer than the Warner.

Nope. Visibility is surprisingly good on the Ranger powered aircraft.

I flew one with a 200hp Ranger and a Beech Roby prop. Pretty good performer but can get a little sporty on landing with all the seats full. Don

That view is a heck of a lot better than what it looks like from the backseat of the Waco.

Same addy, watch the "Landing video" that is what you see on final.

Taxiing is the worse part. pilot can't see the right side of the runway. so it's wide "S" turns, fast forward to 3.50
