But at least they are PLAYING and SINGING instead of just humming along to a recording..

Back in 'their' day, they HAD to sing and play on tour... all while mostly being stoned and/or drunk at the time. Not like the 'studio queens' of today.

I heard it and exclaimed "They should have changed the words to: Old Age Wasteland!"

They shoulda lipsynced.

I may need an ear drum replacement.

the commercials don't seem that good this year.
 
I tried to watch Fellini's 8 1/2. I'm not certain what 8 1/2 actually refers to, except the movie felt about 8 1/2 hours long.

Anyways - best Superbowl commercial this year was the Doritos one with the bark collar. That was the only commercial that made me laugh.

The commercials really blew this year. Good thing the game was interesting to watch.
 
I thought the Superbowl shuffle one was pretty damned good. The rest of them pretty much sucked.
 
Interesting note. A senior VP at United Airlines took the unprecedented step of blacking out rhe Super Bowl fom all the dispatchers. Said it was to prevent distraction and keep focus. Instead, the dispatchers had to explain why they couldn't give the score when it was requested. With no WIFI, and no inseat entertainment, UAL pax had to rely on other airlines and ATC for updates. I'm sure the VP that made the call was at home eating chips and watching the game on his big screen.:rolleyes:

the blather between plays.
