suggestions for new aircraft owner?

- KNOW that the airplane will break someday on you, out of town. It'll happen. Just accept it now and get used to the idea. Maybe you'll get it fixed that day, maybe you'll need to stay a couple more days, maybe you'll get a rental car and drive all the way home and not pick it up for a while. But it'll eventually happen.

Not just mechanicals...weather is a good reason for this as well. I always built in an extra day to get home, and still ended up leaving the airplane and coming back a week later several times.

What else would be on the list of "things to buy cuz you're going to need them sooner than you think"?
