There's certainly a misconception by the uninitiated that a nude beach is a bunch of 20-something year olds playing volleyball and doing yoga.. which could not be further from the truth

Well to be fair I think it's more like marketing. Ditto for all inclusive resorts that cater to couples et al. I had the displeasure of acquiescing to my dumb----- exwife and spending a honeymoon in one of these places (as opposed to going back home, which for me was the Caribbean and would have been more authentic than a tourist trap). One of the things I noticed is how they fence people out of certain portions of the property during filming, in order to provide those commercials we all see on TV of pristine sparsely populated beachfront with 3 couples of perfectly tanned, athletic young people. The reality of it all was a nightmarish overcrowded de facto Disneyland of pre-manufactured buffet lines, blackout times, and overpriced rentals. It was pretty terrible. Granted, as a native islander I have no business getting into tourist traps in the first place (aka I knew better), but that's water under the bridge.

Frankly I'm not put off by the quality of looks in people. Statistically, we're all basically "ugly" in the aggregate by virtue of demographics alone, since only a narrow band of people [young women of certain height and weight] are considered sexually marketable by the consumer base collective. A completely unnuanced life outlook if I've ever seen one, but that's glorified monkeys for ya. At any rate, what actually puts me off from these venues is the overcrowding.

Was there in the early 90's. That's all I can remember. Not even sure which side I was on. Aircraft carrier port visit.
 
Re nudism, nudist beaches, resorts, events, and couples only scenes, most people don’t have a clue. And that’s okay.

The good part is that there is a scene for every taste.

The other good part is that scenes one might like to gawk at, discourage and avoid gawkers.

I just got back from Jamaica, we stayed at the Sandals in Montego Bay. It is right next to the field. Saw planes taking off all day. We watched, and after libations, saluted, every plane that took off. In fact a Virgin Atlantic 747 took off when we were at a restaurant at their sister resort right over our heads. Best part of the trip. Snorkeled on the approach course-too cool.
