Where is it at? Any feedback yet?

It’s at Rowan. Any exposure with those guys? They’ve checked a bunch of things and so far everything has checked out to spec. But my gut instinct is that they’re working on other planes before mine.
 
No never dealt with them. Keep me posted, if you need a ride to pick it up would be glad to help.

If you had a regular set of wings like a C or P instead of the hybrid, it would be fixed by now...:rofl:

To keep up with the local C and Ps it won’t go over 1500rpm or so.
 
Did it accept full throttle and stay at 1500, or start to die out as the throttle is advanced. You have an F, IO-360, correct?
 
I'm pretty sure I did. not 100% but I'm think I did.
The Venture acted up like that when I first got it back and ended up being a bad mechanical fuel pump. With the boost pump on it would idle like crud but ran fine at higher rpm. With it off it idled fine but ran like crud at higher rpm.

so it idles just fine. start her up with boost pump on, starts and idles just fine. shut boost pump off, idles fine. give her some throttle and bleck cough burp bleck burp cough.
 
Sounds like a fuel issue. Good luck!

Armchair quarterback, but I kinda agree. I run the Mooney very lean on the ground to avoid plug fouling, and when I backtaxi at the home drome it sometimes won't pull past 1200rpm or so until I give the red knob a couple of twists.
