Southeast PoA, getting hungry? KDKX 6/2

Like I said, very tough decision.

I’m around next weekend, but it doesn’t look like a lot of folks are. The next Saturday I’m available is July 7th.

It would even be cooler if the South Carolina Breakfast Club was in North Carolina next week... say at FQD. Now that would be cool. I would be tempted to go.

According to their schedule it is at KRUQ next week, June 10. Not too far from FQD.

oh man, you know what would make that cool? if they served breakfast and a bunch of us local pilots could fly in and meet up there and eat breakfast. now that would be cool!

Let's see...it's at KRUQ on June 10...about 2.5 hours for me in the 172...they start serving around 9am...I'm about an hour drive from my airport...probably need to get up at about 4:30am to get there...

I'm out. :D

You guys couldn't make it a state away and I went from VPC to Dallas, Tx and back today in a VFR airplane with a wood prop?

I owe me a beer.

A state a way is fine. I just need it to be lunch and not breakfast so I don't have to get up so early. :D

Sucks you all had to cancel, but the good news is I should make next time.

I flew up to KSRB (Sparta, TN) and it was perfect weather. Shot the ILS in but bases were still rather high. On the way home at 5pm I went VFR and was smooth sailing, 4.9 hours in the ol Cherokee today. I did see the storms off in the distance though.

hhhmmmm, July 7th.....part of a holiday weekend.

So the meet up happened, it was just Wayne and I at KLZU for breakfast. Then Wayne came down and checked out our youth projects and we chatted for a bit.

Cool!

$400/hr for a ride in what’s basically an old 172? Man, they know how to control their profit margins.

Yea, you'd be much better off with the instruction rate. Still seems high for a 172, but I haven't priced any other float plane rentals. I think I might go do an hour one of these days.

Seaplane Rental and Instruction
Aircraft- $240/Hr Instructor- $55/Hr

Pre-purchase block time at a discount!
