I've done a lot of that stuff on a bike. The difference was that he knew when he was going to do it and how he was going to stop doing it when the trick was over.
What the heck am I doing wrong? I can't get my baby GS to do any of those things.

I've always been of two minds on these sorts of things. Yes, the fellow was quite the virtuoso, lots of practice no doubt. But none of that will keep a rider out of a crash or make them one whit safer on the road. I rode without a crash for 25 years without popping a single wheelie or stoppie.
I am always distressed by the young riders who get hurt and destroy bikes trying to emulate such individuals. They drive insurance rates up on sport bikes something fierce. I've ridden for decades and never paid more than a hundred dollars for insurance. Most of the insurance companies tried to rape me up the six to insure my sport bike.
Gixxer should be able to do all that.
It's not even worth thinking about like that -- what he's doing is a sport and has nothing to do with riding on the street. Lots of those guys won't even ride on the street.
