Probably not equivalent measurements, but the width of long-haul economy seats on airlines seems to be between 16.5" and 19", with most being in the 17" to 18" range: http://www.seatguru.com/charts/longhaul_economy.php

The RV-8 seems to be more comparable to some of the long-haul first class seat widths: http://www.seatguru.com/charts/longhaul_first_class.php

The side by side RV's cabin width is 42". That is interrupted twice - once by the armrest, and once by the upper longeron.

In my situation, my hips are below the armrest, and my shoulders are at or below the upper longeron, so the 42" is useable by me.

As I recall, only when someone started another thread asking what happened to the thread did the DAR/moderator state what he had done.

4) Too one-sided: Full control of threads and even editing of posts with no consequences. Ad revenue plus donations from users plus moderators who work for free equals one sweet deal.

yesterday someone made a post on VAF about a friend who wasted $40k on an Egg Subaru, he never received all the parts and never got it flying, and he eventually had to put a Lyco in the plane.

that post was quickly deleted.

I think that was fair.
What the poster related was not a first hand experience. It was a hearsay, and the story was not substantiated in anyway. (eg. by a kitlog document, etc.)

VAF might censor posts, but they are fair.
 
The 6A is almost a perfect airplane, drop the A and you've got it. :)

My first flight in an RV was in 6A. We had our own 6 less than a year later. It's a blast.

It's not the perfect airplane, but it does enough to almost be one.

Don't worry about the size, unless you're huge. I'm 6'3" 250lbs or so and fit fine. When someone else is in the plane, it takes a minute or two for everyone to get "their space" figured out, then it's no problem.
