It's Saturday!

Time to head to the hangar, drag out the old bird and go for a fly!

Who went flying today?

:dunno:

First flyable day here since Sunday. You bet I'm going flying. This is the longest I've been grounded in over a year.

I am in Florida 30 minutes flight from the Sun and Fun fly in. The weather is beautiful. I am a morning person and hope that tonight an hour after sunset I am doing my 3 takeoffs and landings to a full stop so that I can be night current. Because of the morning person thing I tend to want to be in bed rather than getting night current! We will see what happens.

I ws planning on flying Young Eagles at Minuteman today. That just isn't happening.

I'll be flying out of gtu, I wish I could fly what they keep in the hanger at pilots choice, maybe some day I'll ride in the bomber!

Wx today(Sat) is looking good for some yard work:mad: We are going to go tomorrow morning.

I am but it's for work. Pollen is horrible today! Almost need to deviate around it.

I had the bird fueled up and ready for a breakfast flight...
and then this...

Not today :-( stuck at Nebraska Writers Guild conference. Maybe tomorrow afternoon I will get my first ever Mooney ride with David.

leaving now to sneak in a couple laps in the pattern "while Im out running errand's"

Had the flight plan filed, checked the weather, got the airplane pulled out and while I was waiting on my wife, I checked tomorrow's forecast for Destin. :mad2::mad2: 90-100% chance of thunderstorms all day long!!:yikes: So, I got dressed and came to work.:dunno: As badly as I want to fly the new bird to the beach, I didn't want to go down and back today and I sure didn't want to sit in the rain all day and dodge storms coming home tomorrow.

I am in for annual, but doing the $100 hamburger thing with a friend in his plane.

Despite the weather, one Discovery flight down and one pvt training flight to go. The five day dry spell has ended!

Yep! Retrieved the plane from the shop, annual finally done. Not a bad day, bit bumpy here. Tomorrow should be quite nice.

Gary

I did. Decatur Alabama to gatlinburg Tennessee. Went to the on field museum. Was very nice. Great weather. Fun little trip

;)

Beautiful flying weather in southwest Florida today actually maybe too beautiful. The winds were too calm! Have gotten so used to doing crosswind and gusty wind landings almost forgot how to land without any wind, well not really not that bad, just floated a bit longer. Tonite it may rain, but hopefully will fly tomorrow.

How was it? Were you rusty? :dunno:

Didn't do much IR stuff, more of a warm up party since we didn't know each other. I'm a bigger wuss than he is, he wanted me to do a TnG in the Bo, I said I preferred not to. I can't really come up with a good reason to do a touch and go in a complex/HP plane.

Broke out the lawnmower today... :(

What is this lawnmower thing you speak of? :D Got rid of what lawn we had when we re-landscaped the place a number of years ago. :D:D

Flying today was out of the question. Rain, low clouds, errands and then singing in a concert with the Olympia Choral Society. Busy day. Another concert tomorrow afternoon, so no flying then, either.

I ws planning on flying Young Eagles at Minuteman today. That just isn't happening.

I flew into Minuteman today from W29. Landed about 4pm. Was 4500 broken. Nice flight at 7500 most of the way, the last half hour was bumpy under the broken clouds. My 4 yr old barfed!

Went on a bar crawl Friday night for the first time since I was in graduate school. I was not safe to fly bright and early Saturday. I wasn't even safe to remain conscious.

I flew Saturday and Sunday! Sunday's flight was right between the storm fronts. Turned out to be a great day for ground reference and landings with a cross wind component.

I went the previous day (friday) right after work. Beautiful weather at KSTS (as usual) except for a little gustiness but got some X-wind landing practice in so all in all a great quick bit of flying. Who else out there likes to cap off a day of flying with a celebratory bottle of suds once back on the ground?

Definitely, pretty much have to factor the celebratory suds into my cost per hour

I flew my first PnP flight Saturday What a great way to get some constructive flying in. Flew one pup from St. Louis to Lawrence, KS and another from Junction City (they brought it to Lawrence) to Evansville, IN. Flew just shy of 800 miles, tach turned 6.2 clicks, logged 7 hours.

I actually flew into K64, Vinland Valley Airdrome in Baldwin City, KS because fuel was over $1.50 cheaper than Lawrence. When I called Friday I learned that this is where McFarlane is located...too bad it was a Saturday...would've loved to have visited the plant/operation.

I was one of those great days for flying---in that---one could duck under the wind westbound (it wasn't bumpy) and only buck a 10 to 15 kt headwind at 2500' but jump up high eastbound and catch over a 50 kt tailwind. I made it from K64 to 3EV (360 nm) in two hours flat.
