How much market you think I could find for a quad copter that could mount your pistol to sight with the camera? What would you pay for such a platform?

What civilian application would that have? Hunting deer?

I'm sure the Alphabet Agencies would love to talk to have a sit down who brings it to market! :)

-not saying it is wrong, just unorthodox....

Dang your avatar, Ren!!!! you... and your Plane of Awesomeness! :)

Why do I envision the company paying for this development is a subsidery of SkyNet Industries?

I'm cool for developing SkyNet, anything in the furtherance of evolution, I don't much care which way it goes.;)

It has been done with paintballs already. I've also seen it done with roman candles. If you want to do this with a UAV, a quad will not handle it. You will need at least a hex, probably an octo. The recoil from a "real" handgun or rifle is going to require a lot more thrust and stability than a quad can provide.

And also, I highly suggest you don't do this. :)

You wouldn't mount a pistol to it. You would develop a small lightweight pistol sized firearm designed specifically for the purpose. It would be important to minimize recoil. Small missiles would probably make more sense.

^^ this,... and you would want to mount the pistol on a gimbal in the center of the vessel - where recoil is directed in the most vertical plane possible - enabling better control - and even programming to compensate as the trigger is actuated.

I guarantee you, the good 'ole Armed foreces of the USA want to have this. - It could be a game-changer for taking a position when larger air assets can't be mobilized.

Yeah, I could make a sleeved polymer gun for rocket ammo, I wanted something cheap any ghetto thug could strap his Glock on and go gang banging.

maybe not one that mounts a 'pistol', per se. how about one that mounts a "yapping next door neighbors dog silencer". now THAT, I'd buy.
