Thought I'd try this again since @denverpilot suggested it. I'm travelling Friday 9/09 through 9/16 for work but does the weekend of 9/17 or 9/18 work for anyone? I have no preference for location.

I should be around. We just put the house on the market here and are under contract on a place in the Adirondacks of northern New York state. 600 people, no traffic lights, one grocery store, two gas stations, 5 bars. I grew up there, and our property borders a 2500' grass airstrip. I guess I'll be buying an airplane since there's nowhere to rent around there for a long ways...

I'll probably be around depending on training schedule. Sunday of most weekends of course, is football now... Heh.

Leadville flyin the 17th. pancake breakfast. get your certificat for landing at the highest paved airport in CONUS if you don't already have one.

Keep me posted, I'd love to attend if I can. Just moved from Boulder to Longmont, too.

Do we have a destination yet? Telluride is a bit far for me, I'm still leaning towards Leadville. Haven't been up there all year (stupid job) and this is probably the last chance until next spring.

Probably not. We're really bad at that. Ha. Plus there's no food at either one that I'm aware of other than freaking pancakes.

What's up with aviation and pancakes?! Haha.

Texans seem to have BBQ joints. And they go o them in the afternoon like normal people on days off, not the ass crack of dawn for pancakes.

I think they're smarter than the rest of us. LOL.

Anyway, I'm not going to vote on destination because I don't know if I'll be flying the Seminole that day or not for checkride prep.

But I did break my Leadville coffee mug. ;)

We are going to the 21:30 showing of Sully at the UA Colorado Center Stadium 9 IMAX theater if anyone is going out tonight to see it, and wants to meet up.

True that. Gringo's is within the courtesy car driving distance.

Also, Craig isn't an amazing airport but there is a good golf course across the runway that you can walk to.

Glenwood is fun to land at and I can hustle some transportation.

Eagle is Eagle. It has cars.

I should clarify. Golf course with a restaraunt in Craig. I don't golf. I eat food.

Anybody who goes to Craig on purpose gets what they deserve.

Food? I actually went there for a pitot static and transponder inspection but got food as a bonus.
I used to go to the Wendy's in Craig because it seemed like the least evil of the eating choices at whatever hour I happened to be passing through while needing food...

I am crying for you.

Sounds like none of us are committed. Is this getting dropped completely?

I'll be heading to Leadville unless someone has a better idea. Even the inevitable pancakes are better than Wendys.

All that talk about Wendy's... I said tasty food at the golf course. Haha. I'm not a fan of KCAG, I was just offering up places. I will likely be in Leadville early with the boss to get some pancakes before the day's work starts.

Looks like unless my Friday flight gets cancelled for some reason, I can make whatever in the 182. Leadville is fine with me. Or anywhere else really.

What time is Leadville's flapjack shin-dig, @murphey ?

Need a designated pax?

Need a designated pax?

Sure. But If the wind is blowing like it is out here in the prairie on Saturday, I'm not going to LXV! LOL.

You thinking you need a pickup from FTG or you want to meet at APA or...?

While we have everyone here, these folks are still looking for pilots and airplanes to fly disabled kids later this month at APA.

Challenge Air:

http://www.challengeair.com/events1/denver-fly-day-sunday-september-25-2016/

Whatever powers that be (insurance? Don't know...) have limited them to pilots with 500 hours or more so they're hurting for help this year.

(Pilots who have flown with them in the past have been "grandfathered" I hear.)

If you have the flight time and your own time and an airplane and can commit to an event on Sept 25th, it's a good cause.

Their website says its experiencing technical problems today the 14th and not to sign up today, but keep an eye on it and sign up if you're willing.

My airplane co-owner has done it for a couple of years and enjoys it a lot. They had a lot of kids and he basically flew all day last year. We are planning to split up the day in the 182 this year for fatigue reasons.

Hosted over at XJet which is a really nice facility.

APA is closer than FTG for me. Just give me a time to meet.

And if a little wind bothers you....

I heard a rumor today that the Leadville breakfast was moved up a week so it is this Saturday. Might be worth a call to the manager before you set your plans in stone.

I can call tomorrow morning and post here.

Leadville works for me! I'll likely drive there from Evergreen.

I thought we were talking about this coming weekend anyway! LOL. Time flies ... LOL...

As you can see I'll be busy the following one at APA... Haha.

The flyer I have states this saturday, the 17th. 8 am start.

Anyone have room for a fat dude who is waiting for PBOR 2 to take effect?

I know where the confusion is coming from. At some point in the past it was going to be next weekend, because I found it buried there on my calendar from months ago when I put the summer list of fly-ins and events from Colo Pilot's Assn into the calendar.

Must have moved up, as someone said.

If we keep getting passenger requests we'll have to make Clark fly his plane. Haha. :) (I didn't ask why he's not... Maintenance season, Clark? Ours goes in for annual at the end of the month...)

I hope someone does have a seat for ya, I've also got Karen and I don't think I should load four on board going to LXV. But it would be cool to finally meet.

Plus if I loaded you, me, and Clark and Karen, I'd have to have only about ten minutes of fuel plus VFR reserves for fuel on board. LOL!
