From an ADM standpoint that's probably true, since you don't know what you don't know. But you're also the most proficient on instruments that you will ever be. So if you restrict yourself to IMC that's benign to 100% certainty (and check with a trusted CFII if you aren't sure it's going to be benign), you should be quite well prepared and qualified for the flight.
Safe? Depends on too many factors, some of them totally beyond your control. But safe compared to someone who hasn't seen actual in years, for sure.
