Is it baking the Mooney too? Because that might be a problem. Otoh baking and then blowing off the soot makes for much quicker prep work than the elbow grease method

It doesn't delve into the inconvenience, but anyone who has used ultra-high vacuum is aware of the tremendous effort required including baking everything including the objects being treated, to remove all vestiges of adsorbed water vapor. It's vastly more involved than traditional paint-shop work of loading up a spray gun with paint from a bucket.
