This is the internet, and what is posted here is an opinion.
Talk to a few lenders and see what you can afford to borrow. I purchased a c150 about a year ago and although it would probably would be cheaper to rent, there's something special about going to the airport after dinner and going up for an hour or two. it's not about the money, it's mine and I can utilize it however I want. I can always rent a 172 if I need something bigger for a day. Go for it

I'm aware it was a opinion Tom. In my opinion it would have been more accurate for you to say it it would bother most folks that you personally know or that you're aware of. But as is usually the case for all of us, most of the people that you know or are aware of does not necessarily represent a good cross section of all people.
