Oshkosh 2017 Airplane arrivals

It was very cool to see all of those planes. Crazy as well...but cool.
 
Did I hear the controller saying to land on the colored "square?" I've only landed on dots.
 
Looked like the guy at 7:20 might ground loop it. Tail wheel definitely threw dirt.

Is that true?

I figured they changed it because they all of a sudden realized they had parallels and lots of people who fly on a color blindness SODA, or somehow gets past the color blindness test, so using different shapes at least meant nobody would line up on the wrong runway.
 
A/C safe forced landing in corn field following a hold entering OSH area this afternoon. No mention of suspected cause on news.

I saw it on Youtube and thought it was cool so I decided to share.

I'm still out of town so I couldn't make the trip, maybe next year.
