this 2nd event added Wounded Warriors to the mix of passengers

perfect weather, 10 planes participated, passenger count was in the 70s

will post when the "official" photos get released, they made an effort to get a photo of every plane load this time

also, the event coordinator is working on obtaining rights to the available STCs for hand controls if you know anyone that could make use of them

No problem. I expect the next one won't be until next spring, though. Some of the Guard members from Meridian are interested in a similar event at Key Field at some point so there might be one sooner.

If you don't mind PM me your email so I can add it to the mailing list and I'll reply with mine.

btw, I keep trying to make a Broke Spinner Society cookout, but my schedule has had a conflict every weekend so far this year.

Meridian would be a good one for me. Easy XC just follow I-59N.

PS my CFI in Picayune has an awesome flight simulator / plane ride he built out of an aero commander. He brings it to different events to get kids interested in aviation. I'm sure something could be arranged if you would be interested.

The sim sounds like it would be a good fit to this activity. The local Army National Guard brought a trailer-mounted OH-6 Loach airframe painted up in "recruiter" colors that the kids loved.
