Ok ok ok.....

Day 1.3... feeling better and more alert. Working on eating lots of fruit to replace the sugar from the coffee and drinking lots of water to flush it all out... hopefully the 1pm headace will not come or will be easier to take if I am not dragging my butt around the office.

About 1 PM the headache will probably come around, but you'll probably be able to get rid of it with a little bit of coffee.

As I already told you, expect that you're going to have a headache for at least a day when you end up stopping entirely.

And take your vitamins!

Now get off my lawn!

Only if you gime some more! I was too busy flying last night to go out and get any. :D

And I was too busy studying about flying to fly! Stupid written tests... ;)

Day 0.3 without coffee.... and it's not prity.

As I walked in to the office and passed the coffee room I took a BIG SNIFF.... maybe later Ted will have to rip me away from the room so I can get some work done instade of trying to inhale my daily coffee...

Missa

Ya know, dark and espresso roast coffees are lower in caffine than light and mediums....

Hum, I ususally perfer the dark roasts...

Made it yesterday without any coffee or caffine of any kind... but this morning was brisk and I just wanted something hot.... so I've got a cup of choclate hazelnut tea on my desk... it's got caffine in it, but one cup should be ok...

I don't like soda anymore period. :)

Not after reading what was in that book about aspertaime... YUCKY!

Beyond Aspertame, soda is just bad for diets. There is some evidence that the sweetener (regardless of type) acts like sugar in that it causes the body to crave more food.... so while not fattening itself, it can encourage overeating.

BTW, green tea is great. I never really drank coffee, but I sure do like tea in general, and especially green tea (no clotted cream, PLEASE)!.

t.... so I've got a cup of choclate hazelnut tea on my desk... it's got caffine in it, but one cup should be ok...

And snap... I don't like it... nuts... I need to go get some apple cider and mulling spices for a nice hot morning drink.

I just called my mom and asked her to go get two gallons of really GOOD cider from Plymouth Orchards in Michigan to bring with her when she comes the first weekend in October.... YUMMY! It's totally unpasturised. I can't find unpasturised apple cider here in PA and it loses so much color and flavor in the pasturisation.

MI allows you to sell unpasturised apple cider IFF you don't use fallen apples. All cidar apples have to be picked off the tree. I've drank cidar from that orchard for as long as I can remember... none better.

I can't wait.

Of course, I lost 11 pounds since Monday morning. Being sick is a whole different kind of *****!:hairraise:

It's sure easier than being on a diet, though! Heck, they'll even let you off work most of the time! ;)

Hope you get better soon anyway.

Yeah, girl!

When I had mono, I lost so much weight people didn't recognize me when I came around.

I need to get mono again. lol.

Only the first day was I sick enough that I was off work (and it was right after vacation, too). Now there's just enough remnant that I opted not to donate blood at the drive yesterday. Thanks, though!

OK Brook, I've been doing good... and it's been tasteing so great I thought I'd share to give you ideas and spread around

Breakfast:
Organic greek yogert plain (only about 1/4 cup) , I know the skiny ******* are agianst it but yogert has lots of good stuff for digestion it's currently the only dairy I didn't put on the no-no list. The greek stuff is thicker then what I'm use to but I was putting it on the strawberries like whipped cream (a little tarter tho and so were the strawberries are they are out of seasopn.)
LOTS of Fruit At least two if not three diffrent fruits.
A slice of bread with honney

SOOO filling

Lunch:
Red lettuse and spinage salad & since I think that just leafs are boring on top was Green Onion, Cucumber, Red Pepper and <the big one> 1/2 an avacado! OMG the Avacado made the salad. I can't wait to put the other 1/2 on my lunch salad tomorrow.

The dressing I use is probbaly only 90% approved but is so good it's worth the indulgance. It's by Garlic Espressions and it's the Calssic Vinigrette... a bit hard to find but YUMY.
Ingrediance: Cider Vinegar, Canola Oil, Sugar (DANG!), Fresh garlic cloves, Salt, Spices and Xanthan (an natural gum) (dang!). But all in all not too bad.

So for dinner I'm planing on straying a bit 'cause i need to finish off the meatloaf I made last weekend. but there will be acorn squash and brocclie to go with it.

I'm not hungery at all I'm eating food I like and all my clothes are a little less snug (no where near what you have done but it's only been about 4 days and I still have cheese left in my Fridge that I'm going to let myself have this weekend)

Missa

Honey is a diet food? I might have to try that diet. ;)

1/2 an avacado! OMG the Avacado made the salad.

I thought avocados weren't very healthy?

Hmmm, looking it up on calorie-count.com, 1/2 an avocado is 161 calories, 132 of which are from fat! Wow. (Are there any other veggies with fat in them? Where does the fat in an avocado come from anyway, do their trees eat animals?)

I bet anything made by a company called Garlic Expressions is yummy! OK, now I'm hungry. And out of roast beast... Last week I had the best sandwiches - Roast beef, aged cheddar, lettuce, and this really good Amber Beer mustard I found on Dakota wheat bread, which makes the meat and cheese OK right? ;)

Hmmm. Time to head to the grocery store again soon.

You really do need a job, Kent, you have entirely too much free time on your hands now to be picking apart posts like this! :D

It's not a diet it's a change in eating habits. And Honey is a natural sweetner, better then sugar or butter on the bread.

It grows in the dirt so it's good. Not all fat is bad... just don't eat 20.

I have no interal spellchecker and there isn't one on the board. Untill the powers that be install one... you just have to deal you know what I meant. :p

Google Chrome provides one, but it doesn't give you correction options on this program, just redlines it as incorrect. Another nice feature I noticed is that if you write a post, response, whatever, then hit send, and things screw up, when you page back, everything I typed, is right there still.

Please prove to me that honey is better for you than sugar.... There are some health hazards with Honey BTW (I still use it though along with sugar:D)

Safari's had all of the above for a while...

Yes, there is. Or, there's one that will download the first time you try to use it. Look to the right above the smilies. There's a check mark with ABC written over it. Save you from spelling errors, it can.

There is? I don't see it. I see an ABC that does, well, that.

Kent, I didnt see it in the advanced editor either, but it's in the quick reply... then after I clicked it and downloaded it in the quick reply it showed up in the advanced editor.

Thanks Ghery!

Any time. Glad to help. I live and die by my spell checker!

Just use Firefox. It spell checks basically every form on every page. Any decent browser should do that these days.

Or add IE Spell if you're using the "other" browser.
ieSpell works great for me. I have added a LOT of member names to the database along with frequently used terms. I also include that database as part of my backup folders so I don't have to recreate my efforts after HD crash.
