Propellers? There might have been two blades but there was only one propeller. Another fine news headline.
But yes, sad.![]()
...Some "tourist" who had brought her kids to the airport diner so they could watch the planes was obviously upset by my "suicidal display" and publicly upbraided me for doing something so stupid and setting a bad example for her kids.
One kid was in diapers and the other was maybe 2 years old. I pointed this out to her and remarked that neither of the kids appeared particularly traumatized by the horrific incident.
She wanted to know to whom I should be reported. I gave her 920-452-7729, and my name.....

One of the accomplishments I'm most proud of.
A relative of Alfred "E" ? Or is that a copyright dodge?I need to use that. Well played or should I say prayed.
I am always tempted to give such persons the suicide hotline number but want to make sure those who truly are troubled can get help when they might need it. 920-452-7729 is better but the name I use is Alfred P Neuman.
Cheers
Nicely caught.
Should I be impressed that you had that number handy? Or, does it come with the territory?
Did you read the article?Propellers? There might have been two blades but there was only one propeller. Another fine news headline.

Did you read the article?

Of course I read the damn article. I was commenting on the headline. Did you not read my post and the headline?
If you think that getting it right in the article makes up for a lousy headline then you need to be a modern day editor as you'd fit right in.
Is it that important to quibble about a news headline or story? They're never correct when reporting aviation accidents. When are some of you going to get a clue and stop whining about it?
An elderly man died doing what he no doubt had enjoyed for a large portion of his life. He had family and friends that now mourn his death.
And you complain about a news article?
Yeah. They dont get the technical details right on anything. I'm sure cops groan everytime they read a cop article. Fireman when they read a fire article. Etc. Hope it it went quick for him. First thought that crossed my mind also was he went doing something he loved. RIP. Condolences to friend and family. I'm not going to speculate on what went wrong other than to say, hand propers and future hand propers, review procedures. Is it that important to quibble about a news headline or story? "Ma'am, I have neither the time, inclination, or patience to deliver you from ignorance; follow your conscience, and call 911; or, the FAA. Now please excuse me; I'm off to lead a chain saw juggling class for my son's Cub Scout troop".
I need to use that. Well played or should I say prayed.

Seems like you are doing the most whining.
