So the other day I got a message from one of the club pilots that the 430 in the RG wasn't getting a GPS signal. When I came out to check We did have the "GPS in not responding. Check GPS Antenna" error message displaying on the screen.

Thankfully we still have a spare 430 I hadn't sold yet from the panel upgrade in the archer. So swapping out units was a simple debugging step. Lo and behold the other box works just fine. Well that's a bit odd, so maybe it's not an antenna issue. So I swap the old unit back in, and on bootup I noticed this. There is NO GPS software version showing on the bootup screen. It's almost like the GPS software got corrupted or deleted.

Has anyone else seen this? Maybe it's morse and we have version Y? ;-)

I have not seen it, but the manual says to replace the Main board. You could try reloading software before that though! Best of luck

@vontresc have you swapped the original unit back? The antenna connector could have had oxidation or corrosion which was resolved or partially resolved by exercising the connections when units were swapped. Check connector condition and perhaps try again.
