No Intercom

Just installed a GTN 650 and PMA6000B audio panel. Kept the existing MK170C
I receive calls and can transmit on both radios but there is no intercom.
I checked and rechecked wiring and also called PS Engineering. They couldn't help me.
I did have the mic plugs wired incorrectly but I have corrected them.
The jacks are not installed and just hanging from the wires for testing.
I have only installed the Pilot and Copilot jacks. PAX are wired but the jacks have not been soldered.
What am I missing?

Do you have hardwired push to talks or do you have the kind that you plug in between the microphone and the panel? If the latter, they will often short the microphone when the button is not depressed and cause this.

I assume you've tried opening the squelch all the way up and made sure the ICS isn't set to ISO?

Hardwired PTT.
I played with the squelch and volume and went through all the different modes of ICS.
