And dont give me that "wait till summer" line, Its well worth it right now. :)

I hate you michael :D

probably going to have to leave the apartment today. rations are getting low and I really should get my battery issue fixed :(

I love this time of year. This is my third annual POA Neener thread.

Its nice. I am celebrating Piper's birthday a few days late today, and we've been outside in the newly cleaned yard all day today (well, that and being in Flashchat).

Back in Albuquerque I'd be bundled up, inside, wishing Piper didn't need to go out because opening the door is just torture. Here - ahh, in the 70s.

I love it. And a fine neener neener neener to everyone from me too! :p

Well, if it's so gorgeous, how come ya'll aren't out flying.:dunno:

......grrrrrrrrrr........

Don't get too cocky. It's nearly as good over here on the FL coast (although not today - may rain). And in the summer it rarely gets over 94. :)

Although I must admit, you've always got us beat on vis.

OK but now someone is bound to post a forecast high of 140 in Havesu sometime in August.

If it wasn't for a 48-year-old fuel boost pump that decided to start leaking, my Bonanza and I would be in Arizona right now with my wife celebrating our grandson's sixth birthday. :(

It is freezing here. I picked a bad week to move back from Florida for an extended period of time.

Your neeeener neeeener doesn't bother me any, I will not stoop to a childish reply. But as I walk away from you, please take notice of the mistletoe on my coat tail! :D

So it's a little cold. But if you aren't a wimp you get to appreciate the VSI that'll be pinned straight up.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!!!!!

Bring on the cold -- I looooove it! Really I do. I'm weird that way.

Sun and high heat, ehhh, keep 'em in Havasu.

I'll grant you, though, 70deg is a pretty nice day. Enjoy.

I went flying all day yesterday. Got to fly three different planes, in fact. My Chreokee 140, a Bellanca SuperViking300, and a Cessna TR182.

Great weather all day! Very smooth air, just perfect.

Time to watch the game, GO BEARS!!!

Keep the warm weather out in Vegas. Will be out there the 16th and 17th.
Ron

77? Isn't that the temperature of the Sun?

It got up to 50F today and I was burning up.
I also finally saw the first signs of something or other that I was standing on. I'm not sure what it was but it wasn't snow. Weird looking stuff.

I just might be able to put the battery back in the motorcycle and gear up sometime this week assuming someone does something about all the ball bearings on the roads.

-24C this morning. That is -11F for you non metric people, that is without windchill.

Could be worse. I hear they have had lots of snow on the other side of Lake Michigan. We have had none.

Yuck. My truck really is groaning when it starts up. I have a block heater on it but the tranny is very stiff for about 15 minutes. Hard to shift into gear.

Bundled up to get the 5:00am train this morning as I thought I probably needed to get to the gym. It was COLD standing on the platform. Get in to the gym at 6:15, get changed and just start on the elliptical - BANG followed by woosh - guys come running out of the locker room yelling at everyone to get their clothes. Hot water pipe broke in the ceiling at the back of the locker room. We all rush in and grab our clothes and end up standing in the work out area wondering where we go to get changed. Thankfully I had just started my work out so the lack of a shower wasn't critical. We found a corner and took turns getting dressed. Was in to work by 7:00 and shaving in the bathroom!

On the mountain: too much brush showing and I hate the "stop effect" of skiing across a rock.

In the valley: cold, but last week the male blackbirds started showing up to stake territory. The females follow when it is warmer and it gets NOISY. And then, pinnacle of springtime bliss...the snipes show up (see Common Snipe or Wilson's Snipe), and the late evening sky is filled with a cool noise, supposedly that of their wings...a sort of low whooping noise.

:)

I wouldn't count on it, Frank. As nice as the Mon-Thur forecast looks, I see snow on Fri-Sat again ... that would make it what? 8th weekend in a row with snow?

8 weeks sounds about right. Dec 19 was the last time I saw dirt.

I'm thinking about riding tomorrow or wednesday. That is unless the weather gods read this post at which time I'll be digging out of 3 feet of snow by morning.

just when i thought it couldn't get any better.....

BBQ and swimming party at my house tonight! Bring a jacket it might get chilly tonight. 60s you know.

I am BBQ'ing also. But you need a hat and gloves at least just to get out to the grill. Of course that is after I chip the ice away enough to get the lid off!!!

Dirt? You mean there's dirt down there?

My gully deer don't like this snow cover either. I saw them trying to eat the needles off the trees the other day. Yeah, I know, you would like to make a meal out of them, but they probably taste like pine.

yea but only feels like 79, so HA!

I'm not sure. Probably not though. That's the rumor that's been going around but no one is beliving a word of it. My theory is it's all permanently buried. Around here we've all come to the conclusion that the last of the snow piles will finally melt off in September and the next day it will snow.

Local cumulative snow count since Dec 19: NINE FEET

I think the local deer would taste like sticks. They've been eating branches around here and starting to look a little thin. One shot kills with a sling shot the lot of 'em.
The crazy one was I was out on a hike one morning and deliberately tried to see how close I could get to a scraggly coyote that was just sitting there looking at me. I got to <75 feet away before he got up and walked slowly across the field. That's a bit close for normal if I was alone. I wasn't alone though. I was holding a 45lb blue healer/shepard mix that was straining on the end of a 25ft leash barking his head clean off trying to go get the coyote.
