Mostly venting. I am about 1 hour short of the dual time needed for my instrument rating, and about 23 hours short of the additional simulated instrument time required. My CFII is busy with other pursuits for a while but I want to keep sharp on what I've learned as well as finishing up the hours. That way, when he has some time, we can finish up without a dangling hours requirement.
Does anyone have any creative solutions to build up those hours without having to con a limited supply of busy local pilots into going for lots of boring flights as a passenger in the right seat? Maybe there's a message board out there for pilots who need the PIC hours for their instrument rating or commercial pilot license that I could match up with.
