It says on my application to bring:

Document Required for Interview:
A copy of your Conditional Approval Notification

Nothing rec'd by usps or email including junk folders, nothing in Inbox on the website. Googling offers nothing, mystery document?

When you apply the gov't does a pre-authorization check and approves you for an interview appointment. The status is posted on your GOES account on their website. They won't notify you, you need to keep checking. It can take weeks.

I imagine it can take longer, but I submitted my application via the GOES system on 1/13 and the "Conditional Approval Notification" was available to print on 1/14. It took just one day.

My wife and kids had the same one-day gap between their applications and their conditional approval notifications too.

My conditional approval came within a few days but my cousin said hers took a long time (a few weeks).

I am asking where is the C.A.N.?
Ie, what part of the website did you find it?
What site, what header?

(I know my status, I have an interview Friday.)
(Cool, it only took a day or two, but where did you find it?)
(Your "conditional Approval came", but how did it arrive?)
Thank you

Hi Dave, like StewartB first said, "The status is posted on your GOES account on their website."

I can't post a JPG right now, but after logging into the GOES system with my "GOES User ID" and password, it was on the Home screen under "::Message Inbox::". It's still there right now, along with the "Approval Notification" that came several months later, but only 2 days after I actually did the interview.

In the "::Message Inbox::," there's a blue box to the right that says "Read Notification". It's in letter form. It gives you a Global Entry Program "Membership" #, tells you to schedule an interview within 30 days of the date of the letter to finalize your enrollment, and has a ten page list of enrollment centers.

It was the "Conditional Approval Notification" that caused me to schedule the appointment.

I'm a little confused. Did you see this notification at one point, make an appointment, and now you can't find it? Or, did you somehow make an appointment, and now you're looking for the conditional approval, but you may or may not have received it yet?

How long ago did you submit your initial application?

I don't recall taking anything but my passport and driver license. Maybe my birth certificate. It's been a long time. I would have had my phone so could have looked up my status page but I don't remeber that being important. The Marshalls already had a file on me when I got there. A few questions, take a picture and fingerprints... pretty painless.

I came back fromEurope through Ireland last
month. The GOES kiosk was a pain in the ass. Total frustration. Talking to a US Customs guy in person was WAY easier. Not always the case but GOES isn't without its problems.

@Let'sgoflying! The first page after you login and prove you're human has these links...

Of course this is my account so you would only have the "Conditional Approval Notification".

Aha, there is a glitch in their system.
Below, screenshots of:
-my page (no CAN available)
-Janet's (CAN available)
these are separate applications, not a 'family application'
no I did not delete the notice, not something I would do.

I called the interview place, they said don't worry about it.

(in case someone else runs into this)

Mine took at least a few months. My NEXUS took almost six months. A CBP guy told me it can greatly very especially if you've travelled to multiple oversea countries.

Oh ****....ill never get approved.

Aren't they sort of protectorates? Should be good to go.

The Virgins are but the others I have visited are either their own country or territories of a European country.

I've been to:
Virgins
Puerto Rico
Bahama's
Anguilla
St. Martin/Maarten
Saba
Statia
Canada
UK
France
Italy
The Holy See

So not very out there places. Maybe something else held up my application. Who knows...

My application went in 5-18-2016, got the conditional approval letter on 8-18-2016 and end of september was the first appointment I could get. So ya, it can take a while.

Mine didnt take long at all! Done today. The agent did ask where my CAN was so I showed him the above screen shots (printed out) and he was cool with it..he was curious why the system failed.
