I am trying to evaluate a company before a large purchase, but have so far failed.
Modular Homes of Texas in Waco.

I have googled them, yelped them, manta'd them and cannot find any reviews.
They told me they have been in business for 17 years but manta says 4.

I want to know if they have a history as a reputable firm, if possible.

I can't find them registered with the Secretary of State under that name.

They might be using a DBA name.

Search on Better Business Bureau.

Google just the street address or phone number and see what pops up.

If you know anyone with any access to any of the legal databases (e.g. Lexis), have them search to see if they show up in any legal action.

Search for the property on county tax rolls and see how long they've been there (depending on how far back the online records go)

Nothing on YT, FB site is inactive which does not mean much I guess.
BBB is a paid-for service I thought so I have not bothered with them.
Will check the tax roll, good idea.
Google maps has a small sign on a strip mall signboard.

Tax site shows personal property of $2750.00 and records back to 3 years.
I may call McLennan county tax office.

They buy the home from the manufacturer, install it. We pay the installer, the company in question. The warranty must come from the manufacturer.

Their Texas Industrialized Housing and Buildings license number is IHB-1387. I'm sure that's really useful.

Does Texas have a Trade and Consumer Protection dept you could contact?

Wisconsin has an online search tool (free) for the Wis. court system. Texas too?
