I am a dad!
The wife and I had to give the cat a bath last night. While not technically perfect, I think the first one is the best (or at least funniest) picture I have ever taken of the cat. I call it his "Why do you hate me so!?" pose.

The second is his "I will eat you all" pose.

You do realize that everything a cat eats dies running and screaming, don't you?

I never knew you had to give cats a bath.

Only if you take sadistic delight in ****ing them off!
I had one cat that liked to take showers. When she was a kitten I use dot have to bath her in a medicated shampoo for a skin condition. That cleared up and when she grew up she liked to jump in the shower in summer when she was hot and stand in the water. If you were a house guest it could relaly freak you out. I got used to it. She would stick around until shampoo time then leave.

One of the cats in our home will paw at the bedroom door when my wife is taking a bath, come in and sit in front of the tub, and wait for her to drip water all over him so he can bath himself. He comes a-runnin as soon as he hears the tub filling up.

That's what the furry little retard does when my wife is in the bath. He sits in a guard like position on the lid of the toilet and just stares at the door and his food. It's almost creepy at times.

While I do that, too, it was more related to massive amount of his own feces that he managed to get all over his fur as he attempted (and failed) to cover it.

I had a cat that was fascinated with water and whenever the bath was going, she could not stay away, would lick the shower curtain, paw the water and lick her paw.
Often she would attempt to circle the tub, including the impossible 1/2" rim around the wall side, kersplash! right into the drink - then it was a desperate scramble to escape!

Yep, there's no question about it.....you've really ****ed him off.

That reminds me of one of my favorite YouTube videos:

I had a cat once that LOVED the water. She would hop in the shower and liked to bat the water in the swimming pool. She never jumped in the pool that I can remember, though.

Beautiful cat!

Mine love it when I turn on the tub faucet. They drink directly from it. When I am soaking, they both are perched on the tub (I have a big soaking tub, lotta room around it) and bat their paws in the water.

For butt-messes I keep handiwipes in their bathroom - I also find it's easier to just keep their back ended clipped (long haired cats). The really long haired one is trained well - if she happens to make a mess of herself she walks over to me and meows, standing, until I do something about it.

Wow, how did you train her like that?!? We have the unusually expensive wipes from PetCo, and trim him about ever week (or two), but he still manages to get "it" all over himself, and then proceeds to run around the apartment, seemingly trying to sit on or rub against everything expensive he can find. That's usually when he gets tossed in the tub for a good hose down.

On a related note, we have this thing called the Spot Bot; it's like God's gift to cleaning up pet messes!

I have a long hair cat as well and this can happen. If you are not around most of the time it dries up and then falls off for me to find. But just use regular baby wipes from the grocery store. The key to training them is to make them feel safe, don't pin them down, clean them and then praise them. They quickly learn you will do no harm. It is the hippocatic oath to training.

Some may argue that she has trained me.... I've gotten the call at 3 AM at times (cleeeeeeeeeean me Mommy!!)

I also have the Spot Bot, it's fabulous. Ophelia sadly has CRF which makes her barf once in a while, also, she is less fluffy than her sister but also likes to clean her sister so she tends to hork up hairballs more than Cecily does.

We had two cats for a long time. When we'd give the kids a bath, one of them would stand on the edge of the tub and watch. Every now and then I'd "accidentally" bump her into the water. The other would would wait until I was on me knees leaning over the edge washing the kids, then walk up my back and stand on my shoulder to watch.

One of the them used to sit on my lap so often that I used to not even notice. One day I realized there was a cat on my lap. It had just come in from the back yard and some how had gotten coated with mud. It just sort of looked at me like it expected ME to do something about it. So I did, it looked remarkably like the cat in the first pictures by the time I got done with it, but I guess it was happy enough that it didn't have to lick all that mud off.
