Most ecellent documentary on plastic waste

I just watched this really eye-opening documentary on the source of plastic waste in the world on Discovery Go. I was mostly aware of what was said but I did learn some things. No politics here, just difficult facts.

Yeah, I try to follow the Waste not, want not rule, but the amount of stuff we discard or recycle still shocks me.

CBC had a great investigatory report regarding where the Canadian recyclables end up. They put GPS trackers in the bins and IIRC, most ended up in SE and India where they BURN it. Of course, reporters went to these nations masquerading as Recycling firm reps looking for a place to get rid of their crap. I guess it shouldn’t be too surprising. The rest of the recyclables that stayed in Canada all went to the .... wait for it .... landfill. Overall, recycling simply doesn’t work considering the resources it consumes to run the entire operation.
