B.S. What he meant was exactly that the Beatles were more popular (read: known) by kids than Jesus. Which is was 100% correct. Lennon tried to clarify what he meant but ala Sarh Palin let's play pretend we don't understand.

Today more kids know Miley Cyrus, oops Hannah Montana.

I was joking with nieghbor kid about Jay Leno's joke on his Buick Roadmaster, "No padded dashboard here! It's STEEL! You hit the dash, we hose it off and sell it to next guy!" I mentioned how Sammy Davis lost his eye hitting the chrome "rocket nose cone" in the center of the steering wheel and said, "You don't know who Sammy Davis is."​

I wasn't aware that any of the Beatles advocated drug use to others
At that time, from Lennons point of view and from the point of view of many, the Beatles WERE more popular than jesus. No contest. He tried to point out that he didn't mean that the Beatles were better than Jesus or Christianity.
That album cover was conceived by a hired photographer and the Beatles rejected it.
Discord? They grew up. McCartney now accurately points out which songs he primarily authored and those Lennon wrote. The legal "Lennon/Mccartney" label was limited in it's defining who actually did what.

Overall, I believe they were actually fairly civilized in how they coped with the insane celebrity they experienced. I'd be more inclined to categorize them with Lindbergh then with Elvis.
 
I got a good belly chuckle over the weekend.

MSN is set as my homepage when launching IE. Those of you familar with this website know that they have a box, top center, that continually scrolls through three "topics of the day". I don't recall what the third topic was but...

topic #1 was the lastest Michael Jackson BS.
topic #2 was a story about the 10 best children's hospitals in the United States.

I had a great laugh (yeah, I know I'm sick) and then thought to myself "that juxtaposition couldn't have been an accident".

I'm no MJ fan, but I really dislike the way this is phrased. And it is not you, Otis... I've seen exactly the same language elsewhere.

It sounds like the police have decided on the crime and are now searching for evidence to fit the conclusion.

That's not the way it is supposed to work.

Either Doc has detailed patient records showing he didn't administer any drugs to MJ or he's in deep doo doo for not having detailed patient records. The second one may only get his license revoked by the medical board but there could be criminal charges.

Hope he made a haul in MJs cash while it lasted.

Somebody at the house made the 911 call.
