Medical Records: Paper or electronic

When gathering medical records to give to AME, do they require or prefer paper copies or electronic copies (Cd, USB ect)

I prefer such in .pdf format that can be printed to send to the faa.

Besides, paper when submitted to Joklahoma city has to be fumigated against anthrax or something. Much easier to sterilize digital data.
