Medical Certificate timeline

Good Morning everyone!

I need some quick advice. I’m a student pilot and I had to provide further information to the FAA for my medical certificate (regarding asthma). Typically, how long should the FAA take to issue the medical certificate? I’m close to soloing and, obviously, I cannot without the certificate.

If you got the letter from the OKC guys for the "additional information" it means you're already on the attention of someone out there, so it's usually a couple of weeks (plus delivery delays) to get a decision. Keep calling out there every few days to check the status.

Sadly, not the case. OKC has had my "additional information" for two months and it's still waiting in the pool for a doctor to review it.
