MapMx format

I'm trying to find the format documented somewhere, but it seems Garmin has it locked down pretty well. A few of the other avionics vendors have either licensed it from them, or reverse engineered it. I found some rumors that Avidyne reverse engineered it, but I can't find a single thing about it anywhere. Anybody else have any clues they can give me?

That's not MapMX (circled red). That's "Aviation Output" (highlighted yellow).

Yeah, hadn’t had a chance to look yet, but mapmx is a binary format.
