"Manage Attachments" missing

Anybody else? Since the spam change Chuck put in place, the 'manage attachments' link is no longer available to me when creating a new post, adding a reply, or editing an existing post.
 
Hmmm. I don't. Anybody else? Here's what I get (of course, I'm getting really good at uploading the pics to my website and linking directly!):

Thanks Joe. Hey Chuck, why am I locked out from doing attachments? I have over 1500 posts, and certainly more than 5 since the new rules went in place.

I don't see anything that looks out of order in the admin profile for you.

Troy isn't the only victim--I have the same problem, although I don't have 5 posts since the change, but I thought that was for new members only.
 
In what forum are you attempting to add attachments? Permissions are set at both the usergroup and forum levels. I probably messed up something for validated users in a subforum.
 
I am bored (working on PowerPoint presentations for a Garmin Seminar I'm giving next weekend).

The only forums I don't have attachment privileges are News and Spin Zone

Hi Chuck. I went into each forum; the only ones I have attachment permissions to are the two Confidential forums, "Lessons Learned" and "Medical Matters". All others say "You may not post attachments"

That's interesting, why would I have more privileges than Troy, 1/3 the posts same category.

Joe, you're in the Large Avatar group. Troy isn't. That's probably why.

Sorting it out now.
 
Validated users should be able to post attachments properly now. Please confirm?

"Manage Attachments" now appears the one place I tested where it didn't before--I'll take your word for it that it works everywhere else. Thank you.
 
There's no "attachments" like the old VB system. You can upload a file to a thread. You can delete it by clicking the delete button next to it (if you uploaded it). If you insert something into your actual post, you just erase it from the post.
 
so....how do I find an old attachment to insert?.....or do I just keep uploading the same pic? :)
 
Yep, it's necro'd, but I have the same exact question as sixie does.

How do I find all the attachments I've uploaded?

I even looked at the search function, to see if I could search for posts with attachments, but that doesn't seem to be an option either. So, how can I find stuff I've uploaded?
 
I searched for *.jpg for me and it came back with some (admittedly scary) posts with jpg's in them.
