Scott, who owns the unit on the other end of Building A where my hangar is located, flew from Wiscasset KIWI to San Diego. He left on October 07. I had taken two photos of him on October 04. See #1 and #2, below. He's now employed in the energy industry in San Diego and came back to relocate his RV-7, and I had e-mailed him the two photos. Today I received the following message from him.
"Nice pictures! So you may have heard that I flew from Wiscasset to San Diego leaving that Tuesday following the IWI show - arrived 17 flying hours later in Diego losing only one day to rain in Knoxville TN. Stayed overnight in Santa FE NM - beautiful flight! Hit the Santa Ana winds over NM / AZ - 60 knots 2000ft AGL/10,500 MSL and 26 gusting to 34 knots landing for fuel! What an adventure. Flying around Diego is awesome! Flying this weekend to Big Bear for October fest..." With his e-mail he sent the two (sorry they're so large) photos.
