mag ground wire 0470 R engine

FWIW, I tried four UREM40E plugs on one mag today and during a test run on the ground switching to that mag seemed to eliminate the noise. Will have to put 4 more in and test fly to know for sure.

That is because, depending on what position the switch is in, either the Left, Right or Both mags will be connected to the 'G' terminal. That's why you connect the p-lead shields to it. Sure, you can run a wire from the 'G' terminal to the panel and ground the p-lead shields on the panel as well and it will work but that's not how it's drawn in the Cessna wiring diagram and that's not how it's hooked up in my airplanes.
