The recommended Bill of Sale form has been pdf for a lot longer, probably because, while official, it was not required.I had to check my desk drawer, to see the form.
I don't have any bill of sales either.

"THAT" form may not be required, because the FAA will except a hand written bill of sale if it meets their requirements. The recommended Bill of Sale form has been pdf for a lot longer, probably because, while official, it was not required.
Even today, it's silly not to use it and take the risk of having some clerk at the Registry question it. Even the complicated deals typically call for its use in the contract. The same for the FAA security agreement - the bank will create its own security agreement but also use the the FAA one for recording purposes."THAT" form may not be required, because the FAA will except a hand written bill of sale if it meets their requirements.
Years ago they would not.
Insurance? Did I mention that the plane has bee in the trailer since the day I bought it?How did you get insurance without registering it in your name? Our insurance company checked on that stuff!
Plane is locked in a trailer. It's not going to get out and screw anyone over.Optional, even for liability? Only if you have nothing to lose, and you don't care about who you screw over.
While I have no issue with your approach whatsoever, I can dream up liability situations. some kids could steal it, put it together, try to fly in a school field, kill themselves and a bunch of other childrens. Oh the humanity.Plane is locked in a trailer. It's not going to get out and screw anyone over.
Ridonkulous! I suppose I should acquire liability insurance on my power tools, my bicycle, my BB gun and my wife as well, just in case of stupid thieves? While I have no issue with your approach whatsoever, I can dream up liability situations. some kids could steal it, put it together, try to fly in a school field, kill themselves and a bunch of other childrens.
