Wish I had a feel for how much lift they have in reserve at any moment of time - ie if they flare, could they make it over this ridge, that pinnacle?

I am an adventurous type, even a bit on the "wild side" at times, but no freaking way would I do that! Just one small mistake and BAM you are so much sausage on the side of a mountain.
