Let AP fly plane? pseudo partnership...

I am purchasing an experimental that needs a little bit of fine tuning. If I find a friendly pilot AP, how do folks structure things to allow a non owner fly one's plane in return for services?

Totally up to you. Anything from a handshake agreement to formal contracts.

Making him named pilot on your insurance would be a good idea, but at a minimum you'd want to verify that he meets your open pilot clause.

For me it was a verbal agreement he could fly whenever he wanted in exchange for free cfi'ing. Structure for us was loose. I put him on insurance, gave him a key and said have at it.
