Thanks Bill D.

Don't hit a 12 unless the dealer is showing an ace, face, or 10.
Basic strategy calls for hitting a 12 against dealer's 2 or 3, stay against dealer's 4, 5, 6, hit aginst dealer's 7-A
Exceptions, plus 5 count or more against 2 stay, less than plus 5 Hit.
Against dealer's 3, plus 2 count or more stay, less, hit.
This is the correct play, math doesn't lie. Unfortunately, I have seen more people get ****ed off when someone does this. Don't hit that, you'll take the dealers bust card!!!
If people just used basic blackjack strategy they would do a lot better, but they don't, and that's why we have all the pretty lights.

plus 5 count? Plus 2 count?
Speak english…. I'm an amateur at this card stuff…
The probability of the dealer drawing a card that busts is the EXACT same for any unturned card. People that get ****y at somebody who "takes the dealer's card" don't understand math.

It is amazing how mad will get over this too.
Another to tell them is it is not a team sport. I really do not care about you hand I just care about mine.
Probably the reason I play Craps. Everybody is "on the same team" and all trying for the same goal (except for the Don't Pass guys, and they usually keep their mouthed shut).
By far, the most fun in a casino is a craps table that has a hot shooter. 20 people standing around, more spectators, all happy, hollering, high-fiving, and enjoying. You never see that much fun at a 21 table or a slot machine.

I learned on the quarter crap tables downtown where the backline (to get the odds) is $3.75. So everything is a multiple of $3.75 at the casinos on the strip. Paid for the hotel, the car and the food for 3 days at one of the back tables at Mandalay Bay in about 30 minutes. Guy next to me wanted to know why I was walking away when I was winning....Duh.
If you want to have fun with them, look them straight in the eye and say, "High limit tables are over there [point]." This works especially well at the 100-250 limit tables. This is the correct play, math doesn't lie. Unfortunately, I have seen more people get ****ed off when someone does this. Best strategy is not to play blackjack. Sure, if you can count cards, you can cut the house's edge. But to make any money at it, you have to vary your bets so wildly that the house can see it. Unless you are working with a team, you aren't going to do much that much beyond statistical variance. The house will see that and perma-ban you before you make anything worthwhile.
I don't play the house. I play other people. At the poker tables, the horrible play more than makes up for the rake, plus negative variance.
If you opt for an 'around the world' start at the top and not the bottom rear.Traveling to Las Vegas this weekend. Hoping to take a CFI with me and do a little flying. Anyone have any recommendations?

A good counter can swing his edge significantly over the house.
If you are good at it you get a perma-ban.
It had better beyond PG-18 if you don't want to end up in jail or a monastery!Well, that's beyond PG-13.
