Wait - you flew into Burning Man? I wanted to go with friends the last couple years. Share some storeis.

Yeah, it was a blast, and while the passengers hung out there i spent three days cooling my heels at the comfort inn in reno. Thats the pilot life, while everyone else is seeing the world you are developing an extensive database of where the best vending machines are located and which airport lounges have the cleanest sofas and best wifi service. Its still the best job in the world. The landing at burning man was smooth, that runway was softer than a roll of charmin. The downside was two aircraft washes and two weeks later you still got that fine desert dust on you whenever you got within 5feet of the plane. I would definatly reccomend the airport as the volenteers were great and the online info and breifing was excellent.

I lucked out on Yuma, its been homebase since before the change, couldnt come up with a w til i looked in the logbook, wjf is a regular stop, must be the old age getting to me, also dug up a z, still looking for a q.

I haven't bounced off since the change, just missed it on my list. Went there on my student night cross country. Two aircraft went that night, we went south and the other guys went north. The guys who went north got to drive home because of the weather...

The one that I can't find in my books was a midnight bingo to Diego Garcia from CV-68. I think it got logged as a single leg ... maybe because that RON was not to be discussed anywhere. Nothing like having an airwing getting a dressing down by one ****ed-off senior Brit officer at 0500 "Get your bloody arses and Navy aircraft off my base and don't EVERY come back!" Geez, no sense of humor.

Hmmm... I've been to quite a number of Kansas airports but none that start with a K. I even browsed through the list on Airnav in case I might have mislogged something. It's pretty easy for me to figure out what identifiers I have since the logbook program does it for me. I wouldn't even attempt to write them all down, however.
