KX155 display partial failure when cold

We have a KX155 model 069-1024-30. 14v, 760ch, no glideslope. The display is starting to crap out. When it is cold, sometimes some parts of the display do not light up until it warms up. The radio works normally even when the display is not completely lit up.

What is the usual way to rectify this and what might we be looking at for cost?

Preheat the cockpit?

Replacement displays are straightforward to install.

Had both displays in ours replaced a couple years ago, it was surprisingly inexpensive.

Before you replace the display, make sure that all the contacts on the display are clean and that the metal fingers that engage the contacts are doing so. Your local avionics tech should be able to look into this.

I had to replace one a few years ago. Not expensive and no big deal.
