Cape Girardeau is about 60nm @ 280. Sandy's Place is on the field, she'd be delighted to have everyone. It's a diner styled restaurant with great burgers and sandwiches. CGI also has fairly reasonable fuel prices for a class D at just over $4 and no landing or ramp fees.

Sandy has an all you can eat catfish special at lunch every Friday and you can drive as fast as you want up/down the interstate between noon and 1 every Friday because every highway patrolman in the area is at Sandy's. There will be 15 or 20 patrol cars in the airport terminal lot.

Google says it opens at 11 today.

We should see you guys between 9:30 & 10:00. 25kt tailwind coming over (and we can duck under it going back). Whoooooooohooooooooo!

Rough River (2i3) is 90nm @ 60 degrees. Another state park. Easy walk from the airport to the lodge.
 
Mayfield, KY, (m25) is only about 25nm SW. According to the interwebz, the 'diary hill' restaurant is at the entrance. I know nothing about this one nor do I know if it's actually there these days (or ever was for that matter.)

My girlfriend and I are going exploring on our bicycles now for the day but we’ll meet up later...
