Final Approach
What is financially irresponsible about owning airplane IF you can afford it without depriving your family of their needs?
Can you please explain vpath in a sentence or two for me? It’s just better than vnav? That's good because the GNC355 cannot provide VPATH functionality to the GFC500 like a GTN-xi can. I've used it in a G1000/GFC700 and it's a pretty big deal.
A GTN-xi also buys you Smart Glide but it's more like gravy compared to VPATH, I think.
Sounds like your next phone call needs to be to @mscheuer regarding what to do with your existing PAR200B.
If your talking about Garmin VNAV, which is different from FAA VNAV, then VPATH (as seen on one of the G1000 screens, I forget which) is the same thing except that I've also seen it referred as VNV (GFC700 button). Garmin really messed up with naming that feature, which should also be noted is different from VCALC that's available on the GMC355.Can you please explain vpath in a sentence or two for me? It’s just better than vnav?
Signed, also in the 355 boat
Thx
GTN with GFC-500 has VNAV. What this does is allow you to select VNAV and have the autopilot hit each waypoint and altitude restriction for the descent to the FAF. At the FAF, approach mode activates and flies the approach. Can you please explain vpath in a sentence or two for me? It’s just better than vnav?
