When calling for clearance delivery prior to departing an uncontrolled field IFR, we used to call a nationwide number for clearance delivery. Now we have to contact the controlling tower directly. I have read the phone number is available in the FAA Chart Supplement. That information has also been available on the website https://acukwik.com/

Leaving my home field this morning I need to call for clearance. 0A9 Elizabethton TN http://www.airnav.com/airport/0a9
No problem, I have the phone number for KTRI tower in my phone. Called but no dice. Hmmm, check the chart supplement. Chart supplement says https://www.faa.gov/air_traffic/fli...7&ident=ktri&volume=&state=&chart=&advanced=1
CLEARANCE DELIVERY PHONE: For CD if una to ctc on FSS freq, ctc Atlanta ARTCC at 770-210-7692.
Atlanta on 770-210-7692 says no, gotta call KTRI.

Hmmm. Try https://acukwik.com/ Acukwik says:
TOWER Phone +1 423 325 6271 Fax +1 423 323 3490
No dice, thats not it either.

Turns out the correct number is now 423-323-0152 which Atlanta informed me or I would not know.

What am I doing wrong? Where should I be able to locate this number?

Possible pilot deviation, advise when ready to copy number...

Airport Facility Directory in the Chart Supplement. Example: KFST

If the airport in question isn't in the AFD, then look for an airport nearby that is.

so I hear. That's not the correct number, quoting myself:
Chart supplement says https://www.faa.gov/air_traffic/fli...7&ident=ktri&volume=&state=&chart=&advanced=1
CLEARANCE DELIVERY PHONE: For CD if una to ctc on FSS freq, ctc Atlanta ARTCC at 770-210-7692.

There were a number of these anomalies when they moved to calling the local ATC facility - notes to call Center which were obviously incorrect. Many have been fixed (we had them the RDU and CLT areas too) but apparently there are a few still some left, like this one. Checking a few other airports near TRI, including TRI itself (same phone number) I have a feeling this is still there because TRI Approach is itself part time. So they're listing the overlying Center.

What to do? Like any "wrong" but listed frequency, if you call Atlanta Center because that's the number in the Chart Supplement, when they say "Call TRI," ask them for the number and call them. If not, Flight Service will be happy to give it to you.

You can always call the number and ask if this is the correct number, if not, what is the number.

Ok, thanks for the responses. Just confirming that I didn't screw up, again.

I had an older (now changed) local number for ktri. When that didn't work I checked the AFD and called the number there. When they said no I asked them to confirm I had the correct local number for ktri. They did provide the correct number.

So, near as I can tell the correct number isn't listed anywhere. This may be a charting error or perhaps it's as @midlifeflyer says and ATL number is listed due to ktri being part time.

Reported. Er, reported to the FAA, not reported to the management council.
