Hi everyone.
Happy Holidays to all.
Is there a predicable time for FAA to update records after the AOPA / any, On line medical course was completed / submitted?
Is it automated, human and steps, procedure, involved?
Thank you.

Pretty sure it automated.

If I remember correctly, about 2-3 weeks in March/April of this year.

Yeah, 2-3 weeks is about what I would expect of FAA automation.....

But as long as you have the print-out showing course completion you should be legal, regardless of whether the FAA has caught up or not.

I don’t know about predictable, but here’s an n of 1.

I did the online course on 12/11/2024. The registry is current as of today.

FIFY, although I’d be scratching my head if someone thought otherwise.

Dear Mr. Brookins,

We are in receipt of your letter dated May 6, 1910, and the Standard Form i as completed by your instructor Mr. Wilbur Wright.

Please have Mr. Wright complete the returned form, specifying the ICAO code for the Wright Model B, so that we can credit you for training in that type.

Sincerely,
Les Moshin

Hi everyone.
I have an update, and very good news.
Must be the Holiday spirit but the On line course submitted on 12/25/ 24 (actually 12 / 24 late evening 6:06 PM Local PT) has an updated FAA record on 12/26/ 24, must be a record.
What ever the reason is good news.
Happy Holidays everyone.
Thank you everyone.

Medical’s seem to update within 24-48hrs of the exam. Airmen certificate info is more like 30 days after the check ride.

I’m curious. Interesting yes, but why “good news?” Is there someone checking your credentials who might not believe you otherwise?

AOPA BasicMed course updates in a couple of weeks.

Mayo Clinic may never update. Mine didn't. Even with intervention of someone from the program, online in a forum, stepping in to help. At lease one person got updated, mine never did, even after a couple of calls.

I did Mayo Clinic time before last; it updated with no action on my part. I just did AOPA’s, but next time I’ll do Mayo again and see what happens.

My last was Mayo in 2023. Updated with nonintervention on my part. just like the AOPA ones before it. I can’t tell you how long it took since I don’t often have a reason to look myself up. (I just looked and my course date is correct; my CMEC date is not.)
