How do you go about finding a transient hangar?

Hi all! I am conducting some research into the process of finding and booking a transient hangar and would love to hear about how you go about it currently.

I am actually conducting the research for a site called Daily Hangar that is attempting to fill that space and be more like air b&b. If you are able, would be great if I could learn more about your experience and I could tell you more about the site

I take several long cross countries a year,if the weather doesn’t look good,I call ahead to see if the FBO has room in their hangars. While in Florida,I keep the airplane in a group hangar for the winter.

I've had excellent luck calling the FBO. It's usually a shared hangar, but often empty, or nearly so, and so far, very reasonable cost. I think I paid $25 for a week the last time. I tend to stay away from the really big airports though.

Last transient hangar I saw was caused by a tornado... I don't know how one would go about scheduling something like that.
