Gong hei fat choi; Hong bao nai lai!

We have a neighbor who is Chinese and she threw a Chinese New Year's party the other night. I wore my father-in-law's robes that he got when he lived and worked in China in the thirties as a radio operator/repairman. I also gave the hostess a new years card with my chop impressed on it. I had a hard time with the latter as I've not used the ink bowl for it in over thirty years!

No doubt I'll still be writing "Year of the Monkey" on my checks for a month or two....

Does this mean it's a rooster (rubber chicken?) hitching rides to OSH this year? ;)

Goodness you ARE bored. You need your airplane fixed! ;-)

It's a live rooster, and he likes to travel by airplane. Just be careful when you allow him to take the controls.

Yeah, I'm stuck in a holding pattern. I've gotten the trailer with the jigs to transport the plane parts to the restoration shop delivered to my mechanic in Virginia and when he's done I'm going to truck that out to Nebraska. Of course, I also have to wait until Continental and the NTSB release the engine. Mind you the engine is trashed but when the NTSB took the engine, they took pretty much the entire FWF and I need the accessories and baffles, etc... to go on the new engine. Some of these Navion specific things are harder to find these days.

But mixed in with all that, I've got a whole side yard full of construction workers building the rest of my house and it's not often a day goes by when I don't have to talk to them about something and that is keeping me busy.

Ooh. Herding cats. LOL. Glad to hear it's "kinda" moving along on the Navion. Ugh.
